Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-07-19
These terms govern your use of 2u.events. By creating an account you agree to them. We have tried to keep them readable rather than exhaustive.
The service
2u.events is a platform for organizing events of any kind — hackathons, conferences, science fairs, design contests, quizzes, courses and more. It is operated by Behind Software Group S.R.L. (Republic of Moldova).
Most of the platform is free to use. Some features may be offered as paid add-ons; where a charge applies, it will be made clear before you commit to it.
Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your account details accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country, and if you register on behalf of an organization you confirm you are authorized to do so.
- Tell us promptly at privacy@2u.events if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Acceptable use
Use the platform lawfully and considerately. In particular, do not:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or publish content you have no right to use;
- post material that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or harmful to others;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or connected systems;
- interfere with the service's operation, or circumvent the technical measures that protect it — including automated use of the AI assistant, which is provided for genuine event setup;
- resell or redistribute the service without our written agreement.
Your content, and your events
You keep ownership of everything you create on the platform: your event details, descriptions, branding and materials. You grant us only the permission we need to host, process and display that content in order to provide the service.
You are responsible for the events you run, for what you promise your participants, for any prizes you offer, and for handling your participants' personal data lawfully.
The AI assistant
The assistant helps you draft an event from a plain-language description. Everything it produces is a draft and is fully editable — you should review it before publishing anything.
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You remain responsible for what you publish and for the accuracy of your event information.
Availability
We work to keep the platform running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and where a change is significant we will give reasonable notice.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from your events or your relationships with participants.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending your use
You may stop using the platform and ask us to delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
